Now I spend a lot of time looking at amazing examples of zenki S14's and every once in a while one will pop up that really stands out. I call this #1 because believe me there will be a lot more clean zenki's in my blog over time!
This particular zenki is all the way from Ronneby, Sweden, and it's a real gem.
The car started as a factory turbo SR20DET, so straight out of the factory it had performance in mind, the owner hasn't so much spent money on engine itself, bar the usual suspects (I/H/E,), but has really focused on improving other areas such as suspension, rigidity and obviously looks, and it looks damn fine!
The car sits on K-SPORT racing pro coilovers 8kg/6kg, and judging by the stance, they're doing a good job; practical yet stylish. The chassis has also been stiffened up front and rear with Greddy Grex triple tube strut braces. In the wheel department this Silvia is rolling on 18x9.5 Rota DTP (CE28 style) 30p in black chrome all round; yes they are Rota wheels but let's face it, they look damn good in this example. 5mm spacers are also fitted to get a nice flush fitment.
Exterior styling incorporates a URAS type 4 front with Vertex Lang skirts and rear. This beast is also sporting an Origin roof spoiler, one of my all time favourites on the S-chassis. The paint is not your factory white job, this zenki has a white base with a soft gold pearl which looks brilliant in the sun; unfortunately the photo's can't quite capture it in it's full essence.
Interior-wise the owner has gone for a tried and true approach with the 70mm deep Nardi drift wheel, followed by the Nismo "butt-plug" gear knob, another personal favourite. A Cusco drift button gets that rear wheel lock up on cue while a Cobra Monaco S racing seat holds the driver in place, always an important concept. Functional as well as tidy, although a matching passenger seat would go amiss.
Overall this car has all the right moves, and I am definitely looking forward to future modifications on this gorgeous example. I'll leave you with this clever artsy-type photo which I thought was a nice touch.
-Enjoy
